About these Terms
Operated by Employed. Effective 7 July 2026; last updated 7 July 2026. The English version is authoritative.
These Terms govern your use of Employed at joinemployed.com (the “Service”). By using the Service — with or without an account — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Employed is a job-listing marketplace that connects employers who publish vacancies with people looking for work. Employers publish listings; job seekers browse and apply through the contact method each listing provides.
Employed is a marketplace surface only. We are not an employer, employment agency, or recruiter, and we do not become a party to any employment relationship, contract, interview, or dispute between employers and applicants. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing, the conduct of any user, or any hiring outcome.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (the age of majority in Mozambique) and able to enter a binding contract. The Service is not directed to children.
3. Accounts and verification
Browsing public listings does not require an account. Publishing a job requires a registered account with a confirmed email address. You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account; keep your password secret and notify us promptly at support@joinemployed.com of any unauthorised use. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
4. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. In short: do not post unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, or fraudulent listings; do not misuse, disrupt, or overload the Service; and do not scrape or abuse the platform. We may moderate, hide, suspend, or remove content or accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Payments and featured listings
Publishing a standard listing is free. “Featured” placement is an optional paid promotional upgrade that increases a listing's prominence for a period; it does not guarantee applications, candidates, or hiring outcomes.
Featured payments are one-time charges processed through PayPal. We store only your payment status and a PayPal transaction reference — we never see or store your card or bank details. Prices are shown before purchase and may include applicable taxes.
Because a featured listing goes live immediately, featured payments are non-refundable once the listing has gone live, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, and branding are owned by Employed or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No rights are granted in our trademarks or logos beyond ordinary use of the Service.
7. Your content
You retain all rights to the listings, profiles, and other content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to store, display, and distribute Your Content solely to operate the Service (for example, to show your listing to job seekers).
You warrant that you own or have the rights to submit Your Content, that it is accurate and lawful, and that publishing it does not infringe any third-party right or violate any law (including labour, anti-discrimination, and advertising law).
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates third parties, including PayPal (payments), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection), Chatwoot (support), and AWS (email and hosting). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any listing, applicant, or employer is genuine, accurate, or suitable. You use the Service at your own risk. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Employed is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunities, arising from the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 100. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Employed and its personnel against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, to protect the Service or other users, or where required by law. Sections that by nature should survive termination continue to apply.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mozambique, and the parties submit to the competent courts of Sofala Province — without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence. Before any formal action, please contact us at legal@joinemployed.com to seek an informal resolution.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will update the “last updated” date and, where reasonable, provide notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
